If you are looking for luxury, Chalet Beauvoir will not disappoint. Furnished to the highest standards in traditional cosy Savoyard style, the owners have anticipated your every need. Airport transfers, local transport, babysitting, house-keeping, ski school and even a massage can be arranged, leaving you free to make the most of your stunning surroundings. The heated swimming pool, available in the summer, has a counter-current so you can swim as far as you like, or just lie back and let your cares float away as you admire the mountains above you. Larger groups of up to 16 can rent the chalet with the neighbouring apartment, located on the ground floor of the owner's chalet.

Chalet Beauvoir is the perfect base for a great holiday in La Clusaz. Sleeping 12 people in five bedrooms with four bathrooms, the accommodation also has a large open plan living and dining area where you can get together in front of the log fire to watch a film, or just reflect on another great day. Cooking is a pleasure in the well-equipped kitchen, but if you fancy a night off you can book a chef to conjure up a special meal. After a day out, revive aching limbs in the sauna and Jacuzzi, but if you’re still feeling energetic, there’s also a gym, with a rowing machine and spinning bike. The sunny terrace is a great spot to read a book from the chalet’s library, and the kids will never be bored with a selection of games and toys to choose from.

Chalet Beauvoir is ideally placed for skiers and boarders of all ages and abilities. With its private drive cleared all winter from 8am, no doubt you'll be the first one to enjoy fresh snow on the pistes! A regular ski bus links the gentler slopes of St Jean de Sixt with the more challenging pistes of Le Grand Bornand and La Clusaz, where slopes are flood-lit for night skiing - don’t miss the weekly torch-lit descent! There’s great terrain for cross-country skiers too, with 16 trails to choose from. Non-skiers will find plenty to keep them occupied, with a heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool, ice skating rink and cinema, as well as sledging, show-shoe walking, dog-sledding and horse-drawn sleigh rides. Thrill- seekers should head for the Bun-J-Ride in St Jean de Sixt – a unique mixture of ski- jumping and bungee jumping that’s not for the faint-hearted!

You’ll find it hard to tear yourself away from the endless pool at the air-conditioned Chalet Beauvoir, but you’ll be well rewarded if you do, with plenty to do in the area.There’s no shortage of walks, from mountain trails to hiking on the Gliéres plateau, the scene of the Resistance’s campaign against the German army in World War II. Adrenalin junkies are well catered for with paragliding, canyoning, climbing, via ferrata, mountain-biking and white-water rafting just some of the activities on offer within a few miles of St Jean de Sixt. Back at the chalet, the sunny south-facing terrace is the perfect place for a barbecue, and kids of all ages will love the table tennis table, trampoline (with a safety net) and basketball hoop.

One of the most luxurious La Clusaz chalets, Chalet Beauvoir sits above the village of St Jean de Sixt, with stunning views over the Aravis mountain range, and down the valley. You can pick up fresh produce and cheeses at the weekly market in St Jean de Sixt, or try the delicious Savoyard specialities at the local restaurants. There are more shops and restaurants in La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand, less than 5km away, and the tourism office organises regular events where you can get involved in village life. Annecy, just 30 minutes away, is a great place for a day out, with its mix of canals, art, architecture and Michelin-starred restaurants, and Lake Annecy, the cleanest lake in Europe, offers beaches, water sports and boat trips.
